The King William IV, Horsley

Well the food is very good. Think I've worked my way through the menu now. Nothing I wouldn't have again. Belly pork being top favourite and I would really recommend.
Doing food all week now and also started doing pub quiz every other Sunday I believe.

Pub, Chilworth

Ate here a couple of weeks ago (my first time to the Percy Arms). It appeared to be just a restaurant to me but I only went in and straight to my table (in the conservatory area). I very rarely eat steak when I got to restaurants but this was the place to have it. Choose the cut of meat and then go to the 'butchers counter' to have a slice cut to the size you want and cooked the way you want. Service was excellent and the waitress was very attentive despite it being full. All in all an excellent Friday night out.

The Onslow Arms, West Clandon

I think this is a fabulous old pub which has a great French restaurant attached. The food is very good but it's not a cheap night out. The pub does have a few different things going on e.g. a cine club which shows a French film each month (15 gets a glass of champage, canapes, see a film and a 2 course meal afterwards). They also do cooking lessons once a month which are excellent. They also have a French market which comes along once a month.
All in all a great friendly pub which does great food and drink. Just wish it was my local.

Pool table now gone as the pub has changed hands recently. They are putting dining tables around to cater more for the food side. Still a great pub and they say the food is going to be even better. Have eaten in their twice since and the portions have gone down (not a bad thing as there was alway far too much) and they've added some posh new meals. I shall continue to work my way through the menu purely for research purposes.

Ring 'O' Bells, West Kirby

I believe this was the first non smoking pub on the Wirral which has made it very popular for families. Popular for meals as the food is fairly good (not eaten there for a few months though).
Has an area next to it with kids play area and picnic tables when it's nice.

Nice country pub with real fire and good food. They don't do food on Mondays though. There are two pubs in West Horsley this one and the Barley Mow (not listed on this site yet) which are within staggering distance of each other. This pub is more of a locals/workers watering hole and has a great friendly atmosphere. The area around is an area of outstanding natural beauty and has lots of country walks and National Trust sites near by.
