The Porterhouse, Covent Garden

Lovely looking pub, gets a bit busy. I would avoid the draught beers, particularly the stout, think its called "Plain" - should be "Pain" because that's what you'll feel in the morning. Their lager all gave me a killer hangover.

John Mulligan, Dublin

Not sure what the fuss is about, the Guinness is okay, nothing to write home about. Not the cleanest pub in the world.

Baroosh, Hertford

Dire. A mile up its own you know what. Terrible Guinness and very expensive.

The White Horse, Hertford

Dirty, smokey, expensive.

The Blacksmiths Arms, St Albans

If you are a working class male who wears a baseball hat, drinks Stella and reads the Sun you will like this place (not that you will ever read this). Nice beer garden (where you can hide from the clientele).

Harry Smiths, St Albans

Dire - with the most bizarre mix of punters you've ever seen.

The Garibaldi, St Albans

Tired. Could badly do with a lick of paint (or a bulldozer). Good Guinness.

The Fighting Cocks, St Albans

Give it a miss - the bar staff are so slow it defies belief, you will only end up get frustrated (and thirsty).

The Slug and Lettuce, St Albans

Not too bad, older crowd than when it was Casa, still can't pour a decent pint of Guinness.

The Beehive, St Albans

A bottle of Demestos and a cloth wouldn't go astray. Terrible Guinness (even by English standards).

The Farmers Boy, St Albans

Lovely spot, especially on a cold winters night, good Guinness, nice atmosphere, feels like a proper country pub.

The Crown, St Albans

It could be a lovely pub if they:
Did something about the smoke
Got rid of the locals
Gutted the place

The Tudor Tavern, St Albans

I drinks here with my friend Graham. Nice bar staff who will mind your lap top and jacket if you ask nicely. Great toilets, solid seat, enough room in the cubicle, soft toilet paper.

Bar 62, St Albans

I drinks there a bit. The place has gone down hill since Scott left but I think Joel is very nice. Know him from the previous establishment he ran, my old local out the Redbourn Road. The food used be lovely. The toilets are nice, lots of room in the cubicle. Nice cistern and soft toilet roll. I likes the garden, pity about the neignbours. The owner is a nice chap, very generous and with a sharp fashion sense.
