The Shoulder of Mutton, Hartley Wintney

Went to this pub Monday evening, with a very large group 40 plus in number. The Fullers London Pride was off and pints had already been returned. Despite this they carried on serving it believing that we could not tell the difference between beer and vinegar. The alternative Doombar was only just edible. If you like beer this is not the pub for you.

Ye Old Bell, Hurley

Friendly staff and they let dogs in the bar and garden. Beer good but at top end of price scale. Food did not eat but other customers were heard to comment and they were disatified, certainly menu is expensive. The pub was very busy, but the 'Rising Sun' was closed and they may have gained the business.

Walked all the way to Hurley today, and the bad news is this pub has closed!

The Black Horse, Reading

This is a pub with character, good beer and food. A great area for walking and cycling, welcoming.
