King William IV, Ewell

This pub is now an Italian Restaurant, well pretending to be one, its not, what it really is, is BLOODY AWFUL. When there are 2 better restaurants in the village how or why someone decided to make this an italian as well is beyong me. Unless of course they felt it could match them for quality and service, which it doesn't...

I went in on a Thursday night and we (my wife and I) were the only ones in all night.

The other restaraunts are sooooo much better

Horton Park Country Club, Ewell

This is similar to sitting in either a cardboard box or a school hall - there is no atmosphere what so ever. Bar staff are just plucked from the streets and put there, I feel they have no wish to be there or to pull a pint of warm lager.

The setting is nice on a hot sunny day, but if its cold and you need to sit insied, stay at home!

The Derby Arms, Epsom Downs

The food is great here, never had a bad meal, staff are always friendly too, and its a great location. One pub that I return to again and again - top marks

The Cricketers, Epsom

The food isn't too bad here, you just need to remember you are in a pub and a chain pub at that, if you want really good food, look elsewhere, if you want a quick snack, burger, sandwich, then this is OK.

Location is great, nice to cycle or walk through the forest before going in, and then enjoy a few cools ones. Staff are often a bit hit and miss, talkative one minute and then only talkatiev to their friends.

But its worth a beer or 2

The Famous Green Man, Ewell

This is a nice pub, just stay away from the main bar, can be a bit rowdy and cliquey round that side. Food is always good as is the beer and other drinks.

Certainly better food here than the Spring!

Aroma d'Espana Tapas Bar, Ewell

Is OK, food is always too quick and never enough, but its always nice enough and the Sangria goes down so well. I have been a few times and will return again.

The Amato, Epsom

This is a great pub, we had a big garden BBQ / party here last year (wedding reception) and the staff couldn't do enough to help us.

As a pub its great, good selection of beers and food, and always friendly.

Well worth it.

The Swan, Thatcham

Went here last week, as were touring on the Canal, this was a nice pub, although felt more of a restaurant / pub than local pub. All the staff were pretty helpful, good selection of beers and wines. Food was godd, quick and reasonable. I would return.

Just don't expect a small rfiendly pub feeling, its all a bit anonomous!

The Rowbarge, Woolhampton

I would go here for its location and a drink, I would steer well clear for food!

Had a ploughmans and it was quite possibly the worst ploughmans I have ever had, very plain and small, certainly not worth the money they charged me for it!

Dundas Arms, Kintbury

Went in here after mooring up on the Canal last week, seemed a nice pub, has a great location, right on the canal.

Beer was nice, and a reasonable selection and not too overly priced.

We had some food, which I must say wasn't the best, fish and chips, and it was very greasey and over cooked chips, not really what I class as good pub food, the table next to us were complaining about their steak as well, saying it was tough as rope and just grisel. Shame as it could have been a lot better.

The pub itself felt like you were more in a Hotel than a normal pub, and the locals were all crowded round the bar, it was very cliquey.

The Blue Ball, Kintbury

I ventrued into this pub after being on a canal boat and morring up in Kintbury for the night. There are 3 pubs in Kintbury, and by far this was the nicest of the three. It has a huge garden, not much of a view, but its huge, inside its maybe a bit drab and could do with a freshen up, but it makes it feel like a real pub. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the 2 pub dogs (labradors) were so friendly, even more so when eating crisps. Beer was great, not too expensive, we meant to eat there but never made it back.
Certainly a pub I would return to again and recommend.
