The Waiting Rooms, Isleworth

Was nice up until a year ago. Around that time the two guys that used to be behind the bar (think they are co-owners) hired some bar staff with no personality. Used to love the chilled atmos in here and the food is still good, but the atmosphere is now somewhat lacking. Also they only seem to ever have London Pride on (no bad thing, but they used to at least have TT on as well). Usual parade of lager choices, nothing special there.

Castle, Farringdon

Here on Friday, early evening, atmosphere good, lots of people spilled out onto the street outside, sat indoors and enjoyed the beers. Cracking pint or three of Leffe.

The Jerusalem Tavern, Clerkenwell

Have visited twice in two weeks. Really enjoyed the varied selection of beers on here. Friendly and welcoming bar staff and crowd. The place has great character.

The Earl Of Cornwall, Slough

I agree. Reasonable locals and relatively chav-free. Dartboard is a big plus. Not a large selection of ales on but heigh ho. "Old man" bar better for a quiet drink away from the pool tables and plasmas.
