Awful landlord, if you are not a regular then forget it.

First time I have been in this pub for many a year.
Changed for the better?? Sorry to say, I do not think so!!
The attitude of the staff was pleasant enough, but there appeared to be an air of tension. The atmosphere was lacking
The young lady who served us was smiling and did give the feeling that we were important. The food took an age to get, close to us leaving to go back to work.
When it did turn up I couldnt understand how long it took as most appeared to have been microwaved!!
I have a fixation about toilets - you can tell alot about a place by this room.
Apart from the "sit down" parts being in a poor state of repair the toilets were spotless. In fact probably one of the better toilet areas locally.
Needs stronger leadership to pull the place together.

Wow! What a transformation, the last time I visited this pub it was like a set from "Shameless".
I was recommended by work collegues to give the pub another go, I am so glad I did.
I can't believe how clean and bright everything is and such a great outside space now ( still looks a bit like a community centre, but the best has been made of it ).
I was greeted by friendly staff, they actually smile now and want to serve you!
I had a real ale ( incredible as this was such a lager pub! and it was really good.
The management obviously care and standards are very high.
I will definately be back and will be recommending the place to everyone i know.
I certainly would not have said this 2 years ago.
Well done and keep up the good work.

The pub has changed hands again, however it appears for the better. Live music and "a full programme" of activities throughout the week if you are into that sort of thing..... Poker Nights, Darts comps and the like.... always clean and tidy inside and ....THAT SMELL HAS GONE FROM OUTSIDE LOL

Quite surprised after reading the reviews on here when I walked in to this pub.....Yes it has big TV's ..... Yes it has OK food..... Beer is ok too. However, the smell of "funny" cigarettes outside the pub does kinda put you off the rest...!!!
