The reviews on here did make me chuckle. I used to frequent this pub - great location, great garden - utterly dreadful service - seems things haven't changed which is a real shame.

Dreadful place. I used to be a regular here back in the day (late 80's - thru the 90's) and it was a fantastic little boozer with great food back then.
I don't think they serve food at all now, all the character has been stripped away. Basically devoid of any positive characteristics.
Avoid.
(p.s. still love it though as it holds hundreds of fantastic memories for me ;) )

Best pub in Epsom by a country mile.
Very welcoming and friendly bar staff, good food, live footy and a great garden for the warmer days/evenings. Kids are welcome too.

Brilliant comments.
I used to live opposite this place, yes, I mean literally 20 yards away through the door the other side of the cul-de-sac/car-parky type thing.
I hated this boozer then - absolutely filled to the gunnels with *ahem* CNUTS - and I hate this boozer now.
Sounds like it hasn't changed one bit.
I used to prefer the Pembroke Castle at the top of the road - not sure that's even there now - gonna check.
