Kings Arms, Marazion

Decent pub with friendly staff. A couple of well kept beers and a decent wine list. The meals are exceptional, but it's a good idea to book in the evening as it's a little small inside. Fresh pollack and scallops if it's on their specials is my favourate!

The Ragged Trousers, Tunbridge Wells

Great pub playing decent music with friendly staff. Small but well kept range of beers and the best veggie burger I've had in long time. Highly recommended and I wish I could find more pubs like it in Tunbridge Wells.

The Wheatsheaf, Bough Beech

Very nice pub. Friendly bar staff, excellent food and unhealthy puddings ;-) Near some decent walks in Penshurst, so great for a Sunday outing.

The Oystercatcher, Polzeath

Great atmosphere and incredible views of the bay. We had a very tasty meal that was good value and the staff were friendly. I want to return in Spring to watch the sunsets from the terrace.

The White Hart, Sevenoaks

I do like the pub and the staff both times have been friendly and attentive. The setup is aimed at more of a restaurant but I think they need to sort the food out as both time I've eaten here it has been overpriced for the menu on offer and below average quality for the simplest meals. The beer garden is loverly and gets the late sun, so I'll probably visit again but will not be eating.

The Lamb, Frome

This has turned into a great pub. There's plenty of beers on offer and all kept well with friendly bar staff that know their stuff. The pub was busy on the Saturday we went and hopefully it will be successful (wish it was my local). The food looks good but haven't tried it yet.

The Anchor, Sevenoaks

A decent pub even though it looks a bit uninviting from the outside. Good range of well kept beers and friendly staff. The Jazz night's are always good and friendly atmosphere that are worth making a journey to.

The Leicester Arms, Penshurst

A very nice building and some decent beers. Worth making the trip to. There's a carpark and seating tables around the back overlooking fields.

The Ypres Castle Inn, Rye

Great beer garden, perfect for a summer pint but the food's a bit hit or miss.

The Union Inn, Rye

Decent drinking pub with usually a few decent beers on tap but the food's not the best.

The Standard Inn, Rye

A nice pub with a friendly landlord and barstaff. Some decent beers and great food (the best ploughman's in Rye).

The Rifleman, Sevenoaks

Good beers but I'm not sure if I'd recommend it even though it's my closest pub and has a pool table. I'll be interested to see other people's opinions as the barman and some of the locals seem a bit miserable unless your a regular. I'll go a few more times before making a final judgement as I might have got the wrong impression the few times I've been there.

The Rising Sun, Kemsing

A dump of a pub in some very nice countryside. Grumpy bar woman, undrinkable beer, weird smell and the place seems to be falling apart to name the good points ;-) I'd also advise the Fox and Hounds down the road for a decent beer, better atmosphere and is a much better 'real country pub'. Let us know if it changes ownership as it has the potential to be great.
