The King William Inn, Glastonbury

Sat outside with friends for a few hours. Great beer. Fine cabaret. Good grub. Ace.

The Volunteer Riflemans Arms, Bath

I wasn't aware this is a Butcombe pub! Do you know something we don't?

The George and Pilgrim, Glastonbury

Why is all the beer served so cold? Ruined it for me.
Lots of staff with nothing to do, and local chavs similarly occupied.

The Regency, Weston Super Mare

I had a pint of Flowers IPA (!) which is apparently brewed for Inbev by Brains of Cardiff, followed by Butcombe, and am happy to confirm the foregoing reviews.
They hold a beer festival during the last week in each month, with some obscure beers (to me), which looks worth a visit.
Slightly peckish, but not really hungry, so opted for a simple beef sandwich.
Bloody hell! I had to have another beer, as the sandwich was a proper "doorstep" job and took a lot of eating.
A real pub, unlike so many in this country these days. Not a chav to be seen.
Magic!

Got my eye on you, GM!

The George and Pilgrim, Glastonbury

Saw him again today. Is he only out and about at the beginning of the week?

Butcombe was in fine fettle today, and watching the local populace going about their ambulatory business was quite entertaining.

The Halfway House, Pitney

Called in today with my fat friend. We had Otter Bright (for himself) and Peat Porter + Old Moggie for me.
Excellent as usual.

The Mitre, Glastonbury

Can't think why the Godbotherer believes that because people don't agree with him that they must be "failures".
(Or sad. or for that matter, bastards)
I suppose it takes one to know one.

I think you'll find that he was not failed, but diversified, then later retired, after several years of business success!
Don't judge people by your own miserable standards please.
The beer is still good here, but I wouldn't expect you to know about that.

You should never make assumptions.
Better to stick to what you know, if anything.

The Unity Club, Street

I suppose you could ask about membership? Or even temporary membership.
The beer is always top-notch and the selection varies.

Seems to me there are several impersonators on here.
The beer is good, as is the food and service. There are some interlopers though, or are they just virtual boozers?
