The Dolphin, Dartmouth

The pub has now changed hands and unfortunately it was the previous owners that made this place so good. No longer the place to be in Dartmouth.

The Waterfront, Wandsworth

I can only assume the previous post is from someone who generally eats in a Wetherspoons. For a table of 6, we had starters, mains, 5 bottles of wine and 4 beers. The bill was 25 per person. Therefore I do not class this as expensive.

The Waterfront is probably very good if you live on the complex, close, food was reasonable but nothing to write home about. Service friendly and efficient.

However I cannot see why you would make a special trip to this pub when you have The Ship just down the road. This is not a destination pub.

The Southwark Rooms, Southwark

Went on Friday night to a birthday party. Apart from us there were only about 10 other people in the there. The music was good and as it was so empty got served immediately. Decent cocktails. Would probably not return unless another "do" arranged there, not much atmosphere.

The Angelic, Islington

Handy location is the only reason I use this place to meet for the first drink before moving on. Very expensive drinks, have not eaten here. Staff OK but can be slow. One afternoon it had turned into a nursery, the after school club was brought in there by the teachers and they ran riot. About 20 children all between 5 - 7!!!! Not a good atmosphere to enjoy a glass of wine, you come to pubs to get away from that.

The Kings Arms, London Bridge

My favorite pub in this area. Quirky, relaxed and always welcoming. I agree with the comments about the quiz, best way to spend a Monday night, hilarious. Quiz master Steve is to say the least unique.!! Food is excellent. Highly recommended.

The Dolphin, Dartmouth

Always try and visit the Dolphin when I go down to Dartmouth. As a fantastic remedy to the weekend the Sunday Lunches are superb and ensure a good snooze on the train back!!. Very reasonable and the service is excellent. I would highly recommend it. Also quite good for a night out.

The Lamb Inn, Hindon

I visited here as it was midway between London and Devon in order to meet my sister for Sunday lunch. It was her choice and after seeing previous comments I was slightly worried. However on arrival the staff were very friendly and this remained the case throughout the visit. They were polite, helpful and the service was excellent. The food was served quickly and was very tasty, between the table we had soup, both cuts of beef and pork. The Yorkshires certainly looked homemade. The bill was 25 ahead, for 2 courses and wine. We will certainly be using this pub again as our midway point and can only assume perhaps it has changed hands or they took notice of peoples comments.
