The Loaded Dog, Leytonstone

Been back again and happy to report that this place is still the best thing to happen in East London. Great music, great music and more great music and when there's no music, it reverts back to being a simply great pub. Fairly quiet during the day time hours but they make coffee good enough to cure hangovers. Or there is the hair of The Dog...

Best of all girls, this is one of the ONLY live music places where we can go to have a great time and not be bothered with drunken idiots wanting to fight. The door staff are really nice, the bar staff friendly AND competant and best of all they have the world's best pub bulldog.

Check this place out - they have a website so you dont turn up on a Jazz night if your a rocker.. or vice versa!

Long live The Loaded Dog...

The Loaded Dog, Leytonstone

What a pub! This has got to be the best pub in East London - cold beer, good range of spirits all served by friendly and fast bar staff who were not at all hard to look at. Walled garden outside that is worth a look and the meals are HUGE.
Went there to see Bad Manners (not a tribute like some of their bands, but the original with Buster Blood Vessel) and unlike what you night expect, there was not one fight or even an upset chav in sight (could have something to do with the size of the landlord) and there is a lot of different entertainment every week.
Will definetely be going back again and again.

The Gipsy Hill Tavern, Upper Norwood

I thought this was a nice pub - some of the customers where a bit loud, but for the general part, they were rather interesting and friendly. Beer was cold and tasted good.
