The Kilkenny, South Wimbledon

This is a little gem of a pub. Its very homely and comfortable with a friendly clientele. The drinks are nice and very reasonably priced, staff are effiecient and friendly. Little bit unkept but definitely worth a visit

The Pride of Pimlico, Pimlico

I lived in the area as a student in 2000/01 and i frequented here quite often. At the time it was a very friendly and enjoyable place. It was always a bit of a laugh and was a typical back street pub. Little bit dirty and tatty but it added to the charm in a way. There are a few retired day time drinkers that you have with any residential pub and unfrotunately they do seem to want to talk to each and everyone but they mean well.
I have been here more recently in October 2010 for old times sake and it has not changed apart from the number of day time drinkers which now includes a good number of the unemployed and the light heartedness has been replaced with a gloomy atmosphere. I wouldn't say its a rough place, but it certainly stands in contrast to other pubs/bars in Pimlico.

The GlassHouse, New Malden

To Chav Hater - The bag lady is called Rose, she is barred from Bar Malden, as she told me during what seemed to be a very long and unenjoyable cigarette break. Unfortunately a few of the regulars from BM have moved here.
I like the glasshouse, prices are high, but i thought this was a deterrent to some of the crowd that drink in the other places in New Malden but unfortunately a few go in for their daily 12pm drinking session.
The staff in here are excellent, very polite and friendly, atmosphere is very good at night and relaxed during the day for a late lunch (unless you are set upon by bag lady). The food is excellent again on the pricey side. Very clean and welcoming.
They should get rid of the bag lady and then it would be by far the best bar in New Malden.

The Revolution Bar, Sutton

I have been here a few times over a number of years and it just gets worse and worse. I remember at one point they had a live glam rock band and a few others which was an excellent but then all that disappeared and was replaced by a DJ playing the usual crap.
The staff are a mix, i have been there when they just ignore you and carry on their conversation, other times they have been pleasant and chatty. I went in recently and they were serving everything in pastic beakers, not a good sign. Think that will be my last trip to revs.

O'Neills, Sutton

This branch is one of the better O'Neills i have been to. Have gone in for a solo drink once or twice and ended up there all night after being adopted by some randomers. The live music is generally very good and creates a good atmosphere almost like a house party where a lot of people mingle.
The Guinness is very good and excellent staff, very on the ball.

The Old Bank, Sutton

Good landlady, good beer, good food. Staff are hit and miss, the longserving ones are generally more friendly apart from the polish one. Smoking area and toilets are good.
Some good banter.

The Cock and Bull, Sutton

I like this pub, it is a bit devoid of atmosphere (maybe due to its size) but the staff are great. Very efficient and friendly. The pub in itself is extremely clean. Only downside is the toilets being upstairs.
Smoking area out the back which is nicely sheltered and the clientele generally keep to them selves.
Not very busy most times i have been there but very comfortable so if you want to go for a quiet few drinks this is one of the best places in sutton.

The Treasury, Sutton

Ventured in once and almost a second time. First i went in for a drink during a saturday afternoon, the drink i received did not taste anything like what i ordered (jamesons) so i assumed there was a mistake and asked for it be changed. watched the lad pour it from the correct bottle and it tasted exactly as it was before. Left the drink and walked out. The pub from what i could tell from my brief visit was quite spacious but dark. The staff were friendly from my short experience with them although i have doubts about the first staff member that served me, i don't think she had a clue, repeated my order numerous times and had to resort to pointing.
The second time i almost went there was to meet friends inside, when i got to the door the bouncer said no trainers (despite the numerous white trainers i spotted coming out for a smoke) but then ushered me off to the side saying if a i slip him a fiver i could go in, i'm sure this is a regular thing as he didn't hesitate in asking. No harm done, a quick phonecall and my good friends decided to take our business elsewhere. Won't be going back.
