The Blackfriar, Blackfriars

A pub as a work of art.
Homage to the Arts & Crafts movement...completely unique. One to take the overseas guest to...The designers should have cut down on the opium tho...

Fitzroy Tavern, Fitzrovia

Ahhhnow this is what a London pub should be! Take heed all you bland chain pub zombies...get out of the All Bar None and get your self down here!
A great range of beers, ales and stouts...super fast service...beautiful & historic surrounds and loads of atmosphere. How much can a Koala bear?

The Old Suffolk Punch, Hammersmith

Lacks any atmosphere whatsoever...food is rubbish...
far to Edwards/Witherspoons/Lloyds/Corportae-pub-chain-evil-blasphemers-from-the-bowels-of-hell for my liking.
The pub quiz is hard to beat it has to be said...we still have yet to win anything but we will be back

Stonemasons Arms, Hammersmith

Yuppie, arty, farty, wanna be trendy, goatie wearing....why didnt I wear my black-rectangular-thickrimmed-bohemian-glasses!?
Nah..its ok...food is good, if you can get a table (we had a 45 min wait)...no chance of getting a footie score tho...

The Grove, Hammersmith

If you like the whole gastro-pub experiences, then they dont come much better than this.
Food is exemplary...I can highly recommend the swordfish...but they do change the menu so regularly that you might not find it
Dont come after dark if youre looking for a pub....

Edwards Bar, Hammersmith

Ahhh..where would we pub goers be without Edwards...???
Bloody in a happier place thats for sure!
Sprint through the downstairs mle of crap muzac, drunk teens, rude staff, dull beer and even duller food and check out the upstairs bar when they are running live acoustic sets.
Otherwise...run away...run away!

The Dove Inn, Hammersmith

Cosy, quite, character filled and historic old pub.
Very nice. A must when on the "Hammersmith Riverside Pub Crawl"....

The Dartmouth Castle, Hammersmith

Old style boisterous, boozy, blokey British boozer.
Football on the TV, Aussie staff, real ales and a cracker of a Sunday Roast.

The George And Dragon, Fitzrovia

Tiny pub with loads of Georgian atmosphere. Big leather arm chairs in from of an open fire (gas to be fair)...lovely. All I need to go with my pint of Guinness was a cravat, pipe and slippers! A real old mans lounge room. Great! I love it.

The Albany, Great Portland Street

Nice'n'cool "All bar one" type of place. Good atmosphere...in spite of the office workers...comedy nights are excellent value for money and a great night.
