They cant extend the seating area because of the git who lives next door. He doesnt want the patrons of the pub sitting too near his house...even though he spends half his time down there! Planning permission has failed everytime they have applied.
One small criticism of the pub, it would be nice to see the landlord and assistant manager doing something now and again apart from hiding out the back and then appearing at half ten to have a drink.

I LOVE this pub. A good old fashioned pub with friendly bar staff and decent other drinkers. Maybe not to everyones tastes but for me it is spot on

Good pub. Awesome for footie (when they open the upstairs...do it more often!!!) Nice grub and nice atmosphere. Have NEVER seen any trouble in here which makes a change for Staines

Spend a lot of time in here at lunchtime from work! Really good, good honest grub and good friendly landlord. Also good music on a Saturday night

I HATED the Blue anchor (well not the original) but this place is much better. Nice staff, manager is good and new music policy is good too for a dance. Well Done!

TSW- I often drink with Rich in here. THE best pub in Staines if you like good music and good beer. Lets be honest mate a Sunday is not the best indication of a pub! Good music and chilled atmosphere on a Friday and Saturday

Ha Ha Bar And Canteen, Staines
Not the best in the world but also not the worst. Nice chilled atmosphere and especially nice on those long warm winter evenings! Also do a nice pint of San Miguel.
