Not bad at all and the presence of 4 more than decent ales on tap was a winner alongside the very good food and a nice 'bar' feel - Horace's Odes in Oxford paperback was a surprise presence in the books section. The clientele is transient and the fact that it was far from busy on a saturday night and is in far from a destination area means that it is hard to imagine that the sums add up. Sadly, the suffix [CLOSED] may well appear next to its entry in the coming months.

Great range of real ales & fast efficient service. Shame the toilets were so disgusting & in need of repair. I wonder how clean tbe kitchen is?

Wannabe trendy bar adjacent to Lambeth North tube; attracts a fair few of the adjacent office types and possesses an unremarkable beer range (Pride and Landlord, 3.40). Mainly went in because of women in the office wanting to take advantage of cocktail happy hour, and was a little peeved when charged 20p for tap water (which somebody else wanted) which I subsequently found it is possibly against the law. Spectacularly average.

As Bars go this is definitely one of the better ones. Really more of a young persons type of place but the bottled lager which I drank tasted fine and I may visit again.

this used to be a real pub called the horse and groom, and i've had some good times in here when I was a local lad, I havn't been in since it's now called the horse, I'm probably a bit predudice or a bit nostalgic, but it looks a bit poncy to me
