Smart pub with an atmosphere more like a bar than a pub. Greene King IPA and Abbot Ale on tap. I liked the old skool 90s house playing (e.g. "Don't You Want Me" by Felix) but it seemed out of place at 6pm on a Monday evening!

Friendly staff, good food at a reaonable price and wonderfully comfy sofas upstairs where there is no large screen TV. Excellent pub !

A lovely pub - staff friendly and accommodating, the upstairs is even nicer now with the refurb, and three shelves of books to read or take away with you - what more can you ask! (Well, the wonderful steak and onion ciabatta served with chips and salad, I suppose!)
There is no screen in the upstairs area, I'm not sure about the downstairs as I always head for the comfy sofas upstairs. I for one prefer my socialising without a telly to distract from the conversation.

It's now called The Camel and Artichoke. I like it.
