Decided to give this place another try, I see its nearly a year from my review below. The choice of ales was very good but sadly the good points end there.

Staff were very poor, had to repeat my order 3 times because they were busy chatting (and being rude) about another customer and kept forgetting which beer I was after. Also no hot drinks as their machine was broken (a shame given the sub zero temperatures outside). The place was looking a little shabby due to broken furniture, peeling wallpaper and a large patch of damp on the ceiling.

Food was ok, apart from cold chips. Although they seemed to have run out of a lot of items on the menu which is understandable considering the weather.

Overall I dont think this place gets another chance now. This must be my 3rd visit that has been poor. This place has bags of potential but suffers from the 'chain pub' attitude.

avoid this pub at all costs, there are so many better places to eat or drink nearby. The beer is poor, the food is worse and the staff unhelpful and unprofessional.

Food is poor (Tikka Masala more like soup), never the same staff in there. Staff more interested in chatting amongst themselves, not trained in using the till properly, have to repeat your order a number of times, just general disinterest from the staff.

I have been a few times, last two visits were pretty awful so I emailed their head office - no response. Shame because its my local.

Weeknights its not too rowdy but Fri and Sat there are a lot of very drunk and sometimes agressive people in there.

A fairly sterile pub that serves a wide range of decent food and reasonably priced beer. Clean and tidy and comfortable, but no real atmosphere. A nice place to eat or have a couple of drinks with your parents but you wouldn't want to spend the night there.

Even though the pub has "supposedly" just had a re-furb, it is a dingy little place, full of kids trying to run the place.
The manageress, i think her name is Nicola, was really miserable and moody and very rude and abrupt.
Another barmaid, Annie i think, was doing more drinking than working and seemed more interested in wether or not her lip gloss was applied properly than customer service!!!! dissapointing place, service was rubbish and friendly staff?? ur joking!! I have never seen a more miserable bunch of bar staff.....

Overal review......WHAT A JOKE OF A PLACE WITH APPALLING STAFF.....DO NOT GO THERE< U HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
