Dull as Wetherspoons go. Cheap beer, but bored-looking customers, and ladies' loo was basic and smelly.

It's the usual JD mixture of good, cheap food and drink plus unmotivated staff. Apart from breakfast and lunch time, the clientele is standard JD mix of local low-life, unemployed, alcoholics and (at night) kids determined to get drunk on the cheap.

How is it that all Wetherspoons seem to have a couple of scruffy customers with seventies hair styles, wearing shell suits and often with B.O. way off the Beaufort scale. Are they paid to tour the pubs ? Or maybe they're paid by other pubs to leave !

Its a great little pub, filled with famlies, and charming old boys during the day and a fun younger crowd at night. Its always busy friday nights so may take a while to get served, but with prices so cheap who cares?? Staff are always friendly and a good laugh.

I like the food, they have great value meals, they also have an amazing steak night, curry club, and they do sunday roasts just like my mum makes.

The only down side... Gents toilets stink, to be fair it is an old pub.

Pretty much your typical Wetherspoons. Not much in the way of atmosphere, but a decent cheap pub nonetheless. The Guinness is good, there's a great selection of ales and the food is generally edible. The bar staff are friendly until 11pm when suddenly there's nothing worse to them than drinking slowly. A good place for you to start the night in before going elsewhere.

I found the governor in here to be a friendly chap and there were five ales available alongside a standard draught range that were all available at reasonable prices.

There are a couple of plasma screens that were showing a muted Sky Sports feed, not that anyone was watching it.

If you’re a fan of Wetherspoons you’ll like this place.
