user reviews of the Monument Public House, Newbury

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Rough-round-the-edges boozer, but does stock Butts brewery beers (condition varies).

Landlord chatty, music loud. Wouldn't particularly want to pop in without company, but not a bad place.

What's the crack with trying to sell cans of beer out of the fridge because there's no draught. Not paid for the deliveries?

Mint place, great for bands and a friendly crowd.

No Vodascum so a major plus point there.

Poor Beer, poor food, live music (great).

Pub really wants to be a 'rockers' pub. Just can't make it on account of most of the clientel being or at least looking underage.

Go in if you can hear music.

Avoid if it's quiet.
