Fullers pub in Newbury town centre. It feels fairly comfortable inside and stretches back a fair way, with plenty of seating. Ales were all from Fullers - Pride, ESB, Oliver's Island & Bengal Lancer. My ESB was ok. But the prices in here are certainly higher than average for Newbury.

Okay - but it is a bit steep £4.65 for a pint of premium lager in what is a pretty bog standard Fuller's food orientated pub.

a great location when the weather is right however it is faIrly overpriced and very 'manufactured'. if you want to go for overpriced beer in newbury, try the Newbury on Bartholemhew Street. nicer ambience and better food.

Nice location, but over-priced beer, in poor condition, served by unfriendly staff. Avoid.

A busy pub on a Saturday lunchtime, it took an over-long time to be served a nice pint of the ever-reliable London Pride. Never mind, the barmaid smiled and apologised twice: that does make all the difference. Crowded and, for me, a bit too noisy inside, but it was really pleasant sitting in the open by the edge of the river in the afternoon sunshine. You can watch folks driving by in their boats on the canal and operating the lock.
