Hmmm! the words Dummy! and pram! spring to mind i must say!

The real disappointment here is the temporary landlord of two weeks prior your visit was not made permanent!

What a disappointment - supposed to do food every day - went there with a group on a visit to several pubs in Newbury yesterday and NO FOOD. We had done a recce between Christmas and New Year when there was no food but had been assured then that food was normally available every lunchtime - just not on because of Christmas hols. What a let-down. I hope it has a few customers in the evenings as there weren't any till we went in on both accasions. Depressing place and, on the evidence available, won't survive much longer.

Now just a dull sport orientated pub with TV screens everywhere pumping out SkySport. Why bother.

One of the better Newbury pubs, it's just a basic boozer really but none the worse for that.

The crawl is taking me off the beaten track now. Never been down these lanes - pub soon found. This strikes me as a really good boozer. Any pub that has a poster of Julian Cope up must be cook. Not really into his music, but its shows good taste. Barman or Landlord was very friendly - sat at the bar with the Mail and attempted the Saduko. This is an occupational hazard after pint number 5. Good pint of Wadworth 6X.
