The area that we was given was perfect for the amount of people that turned up to the pub and also the food that we ordered was very good. We all had a good nice all in all, which was also down to the staff and the atmosphere that the pub generates. The only moan I have is that the football score on the night was different. Many thanks Alekss - 5 Nov 2009 12:11
Now known as the Cape , this is an absolute hole.If you go to a bar for a drink and a chat, this offers neither. The staff just stroll around behind the bar with apparently no idea what they are doing and completely ignoring the customers. Only half full last night, it still took 15 minutes to get served. Added to that the ridiculously loud music meant you couldn't hear yourself think. A thoroughly unpleasant place - nothing would attract me back fitzonthepiss - 27 Mar 2009 09:52
Renamed "The Cape". Went into the pub (being close to work) last night and saw mice running around on the floor. Staff seemed unconcerned, telling me to blame the Bank next door and saying there was nothing they could do about it. I highly recommend NOT eating in this pub. They seriously need a visit from the Health Inspectors. basildonhammer - 9 Sep 2008 09:47
It's now called 'CAPE' by the way. ronmanager - 22 Jan 2008 16:15
Definitely a good pub for watching the footie, the screens are high up, large and numerous. The beer is average and reasonably priced. Staff are OK although the kitchen couldn't tell the difference between chicken and tuna when serving a sandwich last night. However, the decor is like an airport pub - fake. It's built into the corner of a modern office block and therefore has zero ambience. Gets busy on Friday nights and when there's an England game on. ronmanager - 22 Jan 2008 16:14
