Unfortunately this pub has gone seriously downhill in recent months. I say unfortunately as it is the nearest pub to work for me. The slide downhill seems to have co-incided with the departure of the previous landlords and the closure of the nearby Sols Arms... go figure!

Agree that it's a good pub; would like to show Martini a few real 'dumps',this is far from it! That's the beauty of London, if you don't like a pub, don't go there, there's plenty more around, why go somewhere you don't like you numpty?! Found out it's now under tenancy so any possible negative aspects from before will surely be rectified. I couldn't see much wrong apart from maybe needing a 'lick of paint'. Friendly, efficient & helpful barstaff. The Hoegaarden was as good as anywhere & served in a chilled glass.

Fantastic pub. Have had several really good nights here. Great outdoor seating area and in my experience the beer was excellent. Had great meal and were lucky to get a table. Can see no reason for previous negative comments.

Against my better judgement I was recently dragged back for a drink outside this place. I normally love Youngs Special and Youngs Ordinary, but it has always struck me that both taste below standard here. My recent visit confirmed my long-standing antipathy to the quality of ale in this place. Before anyone gets on line saying this is because of the Charles Wells merger/takeover I have to say this is a problem that goes back much, much further.

And another thing. Immediately below this posting are positive comments from two individuals, one from August this year and one from a month earlier in July. Neither person has ever made any comment on this site about any other pub, before or since. I could be charitable and say they need to get out more and realise how bad this place is in comparison. Or I could be more realistic and say they are two people who don't actually exist and have been invented to big up this dump.

You decide.

Great Summer Pub, Ice Cold Magners and a nice patio to enjoy the sunshine away from the traffic. BBQ a bonus with hotdogs and chicken burgers cooked to order. Friendly and plentiful Bar staff and a very unsmoky pub, which was nice.
