I really like this pub, when I first went there I couldn't believe how good it was. It has loads of drinks on offer which makes some things really cheap. and it's warm and cosy even though it's big. It has a good pool table too. It has tellys that advertise the drinks offers on a loop. It has a friendly welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend it. It has entertainment on Sat nights which I've not been to but would like to.

Still one of the best places for jazz on a Sunday lunchtime. I have always been made to feel welcome, and the bands like playing there, because of the responsive crowd.

Traditional pub, but now called "The Globe on Morning Lane" (for some reason probably best known to the signwriter who must have been paid on a per-letter basis). I was a bit dazzled on walking by the very big and bright array or lager dispensers, but fortunately the were also a couple of discreet handpumps there as well. Very creditable pint of London Pride. Seemed like a friendly place too.

Since I wrote my last posting, the Wednesday night Blues sessions have been axed, but there is a new Blues & R&B Night on Fridays. I haven't tried it yet myself, but I've heard good reports of it. Worth checking out.
