| The current rating of 2.9 is clearly ridiculous - it is not a great pub but has six real ales on including a very unusual appearance (down South) of Tetley Dark Mild. Unlike so many places round here, I got served a full pint by an efficient barman without the need to ask for a top-up. Give it a try. rpadam - 1 Jul 2009 21:53 |
| Rather baffled by the comments on my first visit prior to a Chelsea game. Friendly enough staff (generally don't find that being Polish precludes people from being able to do their job successfully) and well kept Morrissey Fox Blonde, though the Landlord was rather lifeless. | There is a good range of well-kept beers, the atmosphere is pleasant and the landlord is friendly. We like it. Kimberly Martin, Chairman CAMRA West London KimberlyMartin - 8 Apr 2009 17:49 |
| a most unpleasant public house smells of sewerage landlord a complete waste of space bar staff rude and always looking for a tip - polish too!! how can you have a trad pub with polish staff?? beer over priced and glasses not very clean again staff lacking in the basics this pub relies too much on the passing trade and forgets about the quality avoid at all costs much better pubs within 100 or 200 metres would not reccommend donnydrinker - 12 Mar 2009 01:18 |
| A fairly decent selection of ales on – Timothy Taylor Landlord; Old Speckled Hen; Swing Low; Old Peculiar; London Pride and GKIPA. The TT Landlord was OK - £3.10 a pint seems to be the going rate for this area. This is a big chain (Spirit Group) pub with little in the way of character. There are also too many high stools and tables for my liking, and the pop music was being played too loudly. This pub seems to be mainly used as a restaurant, with tourist prices to match. Even with the ale selection, I can’t see much reason to return. RexRattus - 21 Feb 2009 22:50 |
