Went to the Six Bells recently and could not recognise it. It has had a makeover since last we were there and also completely different staff. The welcome was fabulous and so was our lunch. Cannot recommend it more highly. The friendly knowledgeable staff knew exactly the ingredients in each dish and couldn't have been more helpful. The staff noticed we were leaving and said they hoped to see us again soon. Don't get that at many places! As we live in East Anglia we are not that way very often, but would certainly go out of our way to visit whenever we are next in the vicinity. Try it - you won't be disappointed.

Nice Fullers pub, I was here for the beer and I'm a fan of Fullers London Pride, however is was a bit cold and had seen better days. I will return however.

I thoroughly enjoyed this pub, yes i guess if you live up this way you would get fed up with having Fullers beers thrown at you all the time but when you are from Devon and the only Fullers Ale you can get is usually London Pride you are quite happy to sup a good pint of ESB or Fuller Gales HSB or Discovery to name a few, i'm a fan of Fullers beers and although they have grown into one of the big National brewers i think they do extremely well to keep the range of beer they sell and brew and their pubs all traditional. The Six Bells is a lovely pub with a mixture of modern twisted with that Olde Worlde Charm! Teh Ale was in top class condition, i think i must have had 6 or 7 pints of the HSB which i have to say hasn't changed since Fullers Bought out Gale's about 3 years ago and the food was brilliant too, i actually thoughtthis was teh best pub in Thame, however it is a little stroll oout from the centre, if you are staying in the Spread Eagle Hotel turn left and follow you nose for about 7 mins i guess! however the Birdcage and the Swan were good too an dteh Ale was also good.

The Six Bells is definitely worth that stroll, go there or miss out!

This pub serves excellent food and fantastic beer. The staff are superb, professional and attentive. The only 'minor' criticisms are: the beer and wine prices are a tad high - and they close at 11 pm at weekends and holidays - when they should stay open until midnight at least?.

Went for lunch yesterday with my wife, daughter and granddaughter in a pushchair. Staff couldn't have been more friendly. We had the run of the back room, and the pub was absolutely full of locals, which speaks volumes. Bar lunches were very good value, and my pint of Jack Frost was superb. Will definitely return should we be in that neck of the woods again.
