Visited this pub for food after reading reviews on this website. Maybe we were just expecting gastropub type food but we were distinctly underwhelmed. Paid for a bread basket which contained a cut up pre bought part bake roll which had been burnt. Starters and mains were just O.K. We were with our daughter and were in the non smoking bit at the back which was just as well as the bar contained a raucous table of swearing yobs. Staff were very good and eager to please so maybe just an off day.

Beer is usually good, but on occasions you feel overwhelmed by youth, both good and bad.

This is the best pub in Thame. Very friendly bar staff, a huge car park at the rear of the pub, Fuller's beer at its best, a large no smoking area and an extensive home-cooked menu. Please visit!

It is run by Richard and Claire and since taking over last year they have made it one of the most popular pubs in Thame. Richard is a top chef and the food is wonderful. It is now a family friendly pub. Also has a large outside patio area and car park
