What's gone wrong.called in again after a previous visit about 6 months ago where I had a lovely evening chatting and having a few beers with a lovely couple behind the bar. This time I was greeted by a barman that looked more at home on a building site and 2 dogs roaming around the bar.It was a Sunday lunchtime and there was a lovely spread of assorted pics and food on a table if you didn't mind sharing with the dogs. From what I could make out the unkempt person behind the bar was infact the owner. The bar area and surroundings looked as though they hadn't been cleaned for a while although the log fire was a nice touch. What with some pretty choice language from customers at the bar this is not the place to bring your wife for a cosy drink which is probably why at most there were only half a dozen or so in the place. On reflection what I thought might be my local on my first visit unfortunately on my second it won't

Times must of changed as I can not believe we are talking about the same pub. We walked in to be greeted by a very friendly barmaid. It is clean, warm and cosy. Log fire, christmas ferns and twinkling lights. A nice welcome from the cold outside. I found all the locals to be friendly. I will definately be coming back again.

Horrible pub full (well a small crowd) of horrible people, surprised it makes money. Must be something dodgy going on behind the scenes. 'Controlled' by a gang of drunk foul mouthed violent yobs who think they are it but are seriously deluded! Very unwelcoming to strangers, we thought we better drink up quick or we were gonna get our heads kicked in. Barman (heard he was the owner) a miserable sod, looked off his head on something. Beer was crap. Sounded like some bloke was snorting charlie in the bogs. AVOID!

What an awful, awful pub, I think that this is the worst pub in Uxbridge. It is full, well, has a few people inside, that are rather unpleasent.
