No poorly cooked food here now! Called in last week with the family, we all had something different to eat and all had a generous helping and very well cooked meal. Some nice looking hand pulled beers being served too, prices were'nt too bad either considering that if you got any closer to the river you would be swimming in it! Enjoyed watching the 'higher ferry' crossing the river while having a drink. Staff were friendly and efficient, interior looked very tidy and the kitchen looked immaculate - that's why I'm giving it a 9/10. adf - 9 Aug 2011 00:52

We had 3 lovely meals here and 1 in there hotel restaurant. Since the downfall of the cherub we sort out this place right by the ferry. No better place to people watch than sitting here having an early evening meal and a pint of doom. Keep up the good work stevetheman - 29 Jun 2010 22:07
Not Bad but not great. It could be so much better and in principal there menu and beer range is good but the food was poorly cooked. The idea of homemade steamed suet pud is great but you may as well buy them in as they were of poor standard. The bread was very good though. The Doom Bar should have been good but it wasnt. The pub and Product should be good but was a let down. Shame because the view is outstanding kaiserchief - 13 Apr 2010 17:44
in agreement with tonyjohn. We went for sunday lunch and the black napkins were a tad shocking but we put it down to let overs from haloween the night before but as its already beeb commented on it must be the norm. Not the best beer range and certainly not the best roast dinner. It arrived in a rather strange old metal (gruby) paella dish. which you then have to serve on to your plate yourself. My advice, ignore the gimicks and concentrate on not over cooking your Beef and undercooking your Veg. Kind of wish we had not stopped and carried over the ferry. Nice view though. tomtom79 - 3 Nov 2009 13:40
