| wtf wtf wtf wth Me and my family/friends came to this place on friday 9th december and even tho it was very quiet it took nearly 25 minutes to get served. Only 1 member of staff on and the real ale was off, we complained and asked to speak to the manger and was told that he/she does not work in the evenings, we had to pay to replace the bad pint for a lager. Before we left we asked the young girl on the bar if they were showing the live football on saturday lunchtime and she did not know even tho they advertise sky sports. We turned up saturday lunchtime, it was a little busy and again only 1 guy working the bar who was huffing and puffing. No food and when we asked if we could see the southampton match we were told No, only to find out that they showed only the last 10 minutes of it. No food, off beer, very expensive, bad attitude by staff, to long to wait for a drink and signs of drug use in the female toilets. NOT a pub we will ever return too. | Diamond has had a bad day; this pub is quite acceptables, but with numerous managers over the years. The present incumbents are keen and run a tight ship and who is concerned whether they open on Christmas day, or not? I, for one, am glad that diamond will not be returning anytime soon - and that Chelsea games are not shown in the Leg; I much prefer Crewe Alexandria (a better class of supporter!) randolf7 - 5 Dec 2011 10:17 |

| FOR THE ATTENTION OF MITCHELL AND BUTLERS. WHAT IS GOING ON IN OUR LOCAL PUB. THIS PLACE HAS BECOME THE PITS OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS. TAKE FOR INSTANCE FRIDAY NIGHT, 1 MEMBER OF STAFF ON THE BAR, OVER 20 MINUTES TO GET SERVED, ANOTHER STAFF MEMBER SMOKING IN DOOR WAY TOTALLY WITHOUT CARE OF WHAT IS GOING ON INSIDE. THE BEER IS DISGUSTING AND FLAT WHEN YOU DO HAVE BEER. LAST WEEK NO BECKS, STELLA, PERONI, CIDER OR REAL ALE.. THE TOLIETS ARE NOT FIT FOR HUMAN USE, THE PUB IS UNCLEAN AND IT SEEMS THE MANAGER HAS HAD ENOUGH AND GONE ON THE SICK. WE ARE LED TO BELIEVE THAT A COUPLE WHO OWN THE PERCERVERENCE IN LONDON HAVE THE TENNENCY, A SKINNY GINGER WOMAN AND HER PARTNER TAKING THE MICHAEL OUT OF THE RESIDENTS OF ASHTEAD. SATURDAY A GROUP OF A DOZEN OF US WENT THERE TO WATCH THE CHELSEA GAME ON SKY ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THE OWNERS HAD DECIDED NOT TO SHOW CHELSEA GAMES ANY LONGER, WHAT A DISGRACE, AFTER ARRIVING IN THE PENNY BLACK IN LEATHERHEAD WE FOUND ALL THE FACES WE WOULD EXPECT TO SEE AT OUR LOCAL. NO MORE MUSIC NO MORE FOOD, NEVER ANY STAFF ON DUTY, INFACT LAST WEEK WE SEEN A CUSTOMER BEHIND THE BAR SERVING HIS OWN PINT, OK HE DID PAY FOR IT BUT WHO CAN BLAME HIM WHEN THERE WAS NO STAFF TO BE FOUND FOR A GOOD 5 MINUTES OR SO AND THIS IS THE NORN EVEN IN THE WEEK. THIS IS A SMALL VILLAGE AND WORD GETS ABOUT. THIS PUB BECAUSE OF THESE OWNERS HAS BECOME A LAUGHING STOCK AND THE OTHER PUB ACROSS THE ROAD IS RUBBING ITS HANDS AS ALL CUSTOMERS ARE DRINKING THERE NOW AS THEY ARE GUARENTEED TO GET A DRINK WITHOUT A LONG WAIT. THERE IS TALK THAT THE PUB WILL BE CLOSED ON XMAS DAY. COME ON MITCHELLS AND BUTLERS GET THESE OWNERS OUT, COME TO THE PUB AND SEE JUST HOW UNHAPPY THE STAFF SEEM. LONDON PUB COMPANIES STEALING FROM US ASHTEAD RESIDENTS AND WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH.
