Wednesday night are fun and games night with the Gay cleaner named Lee... good family evening and lots of light hearted entertainment MrKennedy - 9 Jul 2008 14:34
Traditional Youngs pub in the well pubbed New Toewn area of Sutton. Formerly a Page and Overtons ( an old long gone Croydon brewery ) pub until 1919 - as evidenced by interesting photos on the walls. Pub was fairly quiet when I visited on a recent Saturday lunchtime. Had Deuchars IPA on as a guest beer, unusually. Note the unusual saloon bar on 3 floors. I'd probably do this one again if in the area, although I did find the excessively prominent "no drugs" sign rather disconcerting. If you're running a pub with a drugs problem, don't go advertising the fact - and, if you haven't a problem, take the notices down ! JohnBonser - 28 Mar 2008 13:16
Interesting shaped pub with separate public bar, pool/darts room & three different seating levels in the Lounge. Beer standard but good Youngs. Sunday night quizzes are good fun & provide a nice atmosphere for a Sunday night. Other nights can be fairly quiet. Wilson_MacDonald - 24 Feb 2008 20:22
Have visited the pub on several occasions now since new management have taken over-not witnessed any underage drinking. Good atmosphere and like me previous local regulars are returning. Look forward to the new food menu. suttonian - 14 Jan 2008 22:20
Shame really, the new management appear to be allowing this pub to become a creche! Have been in there twice and was amazed at the underage drinkers in there, still had they not been in there it would have been empty About time someone that actually can be bothered took over a once decent boozer MateyGirl - 7 Jan 2008 16:08
