The pub seemed OK and the staff were nice enough, but the regulars didn't seem happy to see an 'outsider' in their pub. Smallish room with a few nooks and crannies. The only people in the place surrounded the bar and nobody wanted to make a little space to allow anybody else to be served. The volume on the juke box for the small space inside was very loud and it was impossible to speak to the missus without shouting. Maybe we came at the wrong time - the football was just finishing. So might be worth a visit at another time. Loki - 7 Nov 2011 16:10
BEER IS VERY POOR IT TASTES LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF THE RIVER WANDLE. cockneypaul - 31 Dec 2010 17:01
Last night was the first time that I have been in here since the Murder. The beer tasted like vinegar thre were 5 other people in the pub whose vocablary seemed to consist only of swearwords. Well worth avoiding! keithwalsh1 - 14 Nov 2010 14:58
The new inn is the best pub around well that’s what I think personally, I have never been in a more friendly and sociable pub all the staff and the punters are all really friendly, ever since the new landlord mark has taken over the pubs been getting better and better, they always have some sort of entertainment going on like karaoke nights, 70s and 80s discos and allsorts of thing like that, so all in all it a grate pub to go to. pubboichris - 22 Oct 2008 12:14
Not as nice as the nearby Little Windsor, but it's OK. Not to be confused with the New Town down the road -which looks particularly frightening- the New Inn does have that back-street local feel; but new customers are tolerated perfectly well, none of that staring-at-you-as-you-walk-in nonsense seen in some less charitable establishments. Fine for a quiet drink, I wouldn't necessarily book a private function. parkhillian - 8 Oct 2007 08:13
