A useless piece of info about this pub:

For any Jim Diamond or PHD fans this was the pub used in the video for the 1981 UK hit " I won't let you down " by PHD (Jim Diamond lead vocal)

Still looks the same today....

Quite an imposing corner pub with a traditional appearance, and inside it is quite airy with high ceilings and a fairly sparse arrangment of furniture. Upstairs, there is a large-ish dining room (although this didn't seem to be in use when we visited). Beer-wise, the are four handpumps but two were for London Pride, the Deuchars IPA was off and the guest ale clip was covered over with a 'Sold Out' sign. Hopefully this next bit isn't typical, but while the first pints of Pride were fine, one of our group saw the barman trying to pour slops from the drip tray into his glass (which was, of course, refused and a fresh pint was poured without too much fuss, but still shouldn't have happened in any pub - let alone one with Cask Marque accreditation).

Visited this pub in November one lunch time. Stella ok and the barman friendly.at service but no other chat. Tables and stools were clean, I hate dirty sticky ones. The gents was out of action but they allowed the use of the ladies downstairs which was fair enough. My comment to this and any other London pub is keep it friendly, all we want is a bit of interaction, more and more pubs dont talk to customers. Shame.

The only pub I ever got barred from. Certainly didn't have an upstairs then.

Nice little pub with lots of character. Well I thought It was little, until I saw upstairs. Lovely dining room, which also doubles as a meeting room. Great idea
