There is a public bar with limited seating, so if you are not dining you can still watch all the goings on and join in the singing! All the alpine favourites can be had; Jagermeister, Erdinger, Williams schnapps, and a handy bowl of nuts on the bar for good measure.

I went here last night. I asked if I could just have a drink and was told no. I decided to have a meal and certainly no complaints about the food especially with both Austrian and Hungarian dishes, however as I was about to leave I noticed quite a few people at the bar just drinking and there were a couple of tables by the side which seemed to also for drinkers only. So do you need to be a regular to be able to just have a drink?

Group dining at Tiroler Hut is always a great night out. It's the kind of restaurant where the usual city and fashionista W11 types occasionally go to let their hair down.

I saw a write up where a notable critic declared that "the Tiroler Hut menu has shortened my life by at least five years", and I must admit I have to agree. Nevertheless I've been there four times in the three and a half years that I have lived in Notting Hill, and it has always been an extremely entertaining, if not elegant, night out.

I used to drink there without eating so maybe it's changed.
