| well its been a long time since the last one but here is a TEN OUT OF TEN PUB! Its all been said before but FIFTEEN handpumps of pure interesting and varied ales,i quaffed two (rat brewery Celtic rat and oakham green devil Ipa)oddly enough just like the pub the oakham brew was a ten outta ten aswell,the staff friendly and very chatty suggesting pubs for my next manouvre! | My first visit here and it won't be my last. Super pub in a very attractive little part of town. Great selection of beers - on our visit it was mainly Oakham and Full Mash although there were something like 15 handpumps so there must have been other ales which we missed! Beer quality was fine; service was quick and friendly and the vegetable samosas were fiery! Meals are available. TV was on for footie but no sound and there is a pleasant little seating area at the front which was excellent on a fine day especially after we had just won 2-0 at football!!! | Unbelievable ale selection. A dozen or so real ales from a wide variety of micros. High quality as well judging by the ones we tried. The building is huge and very comfortable, with plenty of seating. | Must be the cheapest pub in Leicester for decent beer (excluding witherspoons which is cheap and avoidable) long bar with 10+ real ales and lots of cider too decent crowd mix of 30-40 somethings and studenty types draws a rugby crowd when Tiger are at home Bit of the beaten track and perhaps thats why its so good also do some decent food rxcbs01 - 1 Jul 2011 15:52 |
