I have used this pub on and off for years it`s very average not worth anywhere near 10/10 more like 5/10.I have never found the staff friendly or the service good.
Normally 3/4 ales on which can be abit hit or miss.

It's been a while since this pub got a write up, so I am happy to oblige.

The interior has a nice cosy atmosphere, in the winter there is usually a fire going and in the summer the rear doors open up to a large quiet beer garden.

The landlord - Eddie - is a friendly chap and a good laugh, in fact all the staff who work there are friendly.

There is a good selection of real ale along side the usual mainstream alcohol.

The food is not bad and very good value, if it can be called a complaint - you usually get too much of it.

The clientèle are a mixed bunch of all ages, quite a few regulars, it is quiet during the day and family friendly for a spot of lunch. The evenings on "school nights" can be quiet with the exception of Wednesday.

There are always events going on, weekly pub quiz night (Wednesday) is always a laugh with some pretty generous prizes (bottle of wine for round winners and cash pot for the overall winner). There are regular evenings when local bands play, although I haven't attended one, I hear they are great fun.

It is my local pub and I love it, so my review is probably a bit bias. All in all I highly recommend a visit. 10/10

Went here to see a band play called Even After recently. Band were good, not so the beer. Oh dear. Being an ale drinker, had to change sides and drink lager, and beer IPA was toooo warm. Seems friendly?? staff could smile a bit more. Locals seem friendly?? Will i go back? highly unlikely. no wonder this is the only pub left in the village. Shame really.

The reason I'd describe this pub as dullish is the old fashioned manners in which the people in here use. I am not saying theres anything wrong with being polite, but they do all seem rather stuck in there way, funny old folk.
