8 of us came here last night, Robinsons is not my favourite beer, but it was in top condition here. The Tapas were superb and excellent value and the atmosphere brilliant. Charles2011 - 22 Jan 2012 13:40
The Oakwood has changed it focus since my last review (May2009). Three Robinsons beers were on offer: Unicorn, Double Hop and Dizzy Blonde. All were sampled and were judged to be excellent. Very Friendly staff, and the place has a nice vibe. DoctorBarfly - 10 Jul 2011 21:39
Came here on Friday 13th, Looks more like a restaurant than a pub, Friendly staff, only one ale on (Cumbria Way) and Stowford Press cider. Nice atoms, Toilets very clean. Overall a nice pub. Viki247 - 13 May 2011 13:50
Nice cask ale on tap tonight, however we were in the back room and it was like being an extra in an episode of the Inbetweeners (with a hint of Shameless). Real open fire was a great touch powderedegg - 12 Nov 2010 23:28
New management have recently started putting on some very interesting alternative bands/dj's and art exhibitions so from that point of view the 'new' Oakwood is a promising addition to the local music scene. It looks like the owners are putting the effort in however the pub looks like a student squat from the outside. it has potential but really could do with a bit of a clean up downstairs- the carpet in the entrance hall is nasty and the dead plants in the window don't help either. headman - 11 Jan 2010 14:43
