A very large Joseph Holt's pub. Very clean and well kept inside. The food menu is supported by the specials list.

A visit to this pub last Friday lunchtime revealed that a pint of best bitter was still about £2, cheaper than elsewhere, and the new "Fifth Sense" at 5% was a very agreeable pint. Food seems to have gone up in price, but the helpings looked very generous. Recommended.

A refurbished Holts pub with their standard (good) food menu and well kept Holts beers. Handy for the railway station too.

Decent pub. Well refurbished. Good neutral place to go. Not seeen minors drinking or louts in there, think some old regulars are disgruntled with new format. This is a big pub and ideally suited to the modern format now in place, there are plenty of smaller traditional style pubs around too. Its good to have variety! Not tried the food yet but looked busy enough when I've been in.

A Joseph Holts pub without the Holts prices! Situated slap bang in the middle of town, ideally located for just about every lager lout that has been ejected from ‘ASBO Corner’. School teachers may wish to pop in to collect in the homework. Avoid!
