A large pub set in the middle of the town.

Yes, its expensive but looking at the numbers of people in the place they seem to be able to charge a significant amount extra for beer but know that people will obviously pay it.

Seating outside at the front of the building with at least two bar areas and several rooms given over to drinking and tables for eating inside, which includes a restaurant room. Also provides accommodation. A busy pub with welcoming staff.

Called here for a swift pint and nearly choked when I received £1.05 change out of a fiver for a pint of Thatcher's Gold. I think £3.95 a pint is extracting mickey! Not again Totnes, get a JD Wetherspoons quick!

This is a very big bar/ eatery /hotel /events venue. Comedy every other month. It's hundreds of years old. Great location, can watch the world go by from an excellent vantage point with outside heating and seating. Wide range of ales, ciders, lagers. It is not cheap, but then the supermarket is nearby if you want cheap (and a choice of bus shelters to drink in).

Over the old river bridge is the Albert Inn - very old, quirky, real pub !!

We called in here on 5-8-14 but came out without buying a drink, checked the cask ale prices which you need a magnifying glass to read £ 3.85 a pint the most expensive ale I've ever seen, little wonder pubs are closing with greed like this

A well positioned place right in the centre of totnes.
Sitting outside is great if you can get a seat and don't mind people smoking near to you.
Was'nt that impressed with inside to be honest and it is an expensive place for a pin.t All in all 8/10
