Visited this pub a couple of times recently. Welcoming place. It is also a brewhouse, I think. Worth the walk over into Bridgetown. blamm - 25 Sep 2008 15:41
WON'T HAVE A BAD WORD SAID AGAINST YOUR MAN TIM. WHAT A LOCAL PUB SHOULD BE. VISIT AND ENJOY. gagouldy - 24 Jul 2007 20:39
Quite frankly, one of the best pubs I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. Excellent Guinness, the friendliest and most interesting bar staff I have ever met, an atmosphere that is both welcoming and local and, mercifully, not a tie-dyed T-shirt or flip-flop in sight. Beer garden out the back overlooks the neighbours' gardens, which is a bit odd. It does allow you to sit in the garden and drink beer though, which ultimately is its purpose. gbiddlegbiddlegboh - 29 Mar 2007 08:32
The architype FREE house. The landlord can have the pub wonderfully understated, as he does not have big company accountants telling him to sell alcopops, and 'taboo promoitions'. Occasionally overlooked by passes by, this pub is a treasure of Totnes town, and any slight ideosyncrasies of the staff and the like, just show it's character. Peter Reeves - 16 Aug 2004 22:51
The Albert Inn is one of those rare breeds of pub that has been left unspoilt by the breweries. The cosy freehouse is owned and run by Tim and Sue Langsford, who have more than 20 years experience in the trade, having run the Kingsbridge Inn in Totnes some years ago. You can always be assured of a warm welcome and a fine pub menu, more than 30 different types of whisky and real ale and guest ale readily available. The pub features a bar, a lounge/snug and a sun trap beer garden overlooking the River Dart. Joe Head - 26 Apr 2004 16:20
