Distinctly average but super pricey, and service is not fantastic, although not as bad as it was. It's not bad as such, just a bit of a waste to go here when there are much better cheaper pubs nearby.

Nice selection of well kept ales and a couple of artisan ciders & lagers, but as others have commented, bloody expensive even for the area. Food is overpriced too; we've eaten here twice. The first was in the restaurant and the kitchen burnt our steaks, however also had burgers in the bar and these were good (and at £13 per head should be!)

Runs a good pub quiz on a Sunday, the main draw for us, too be honest there are better pubs in the area for a quiet drink

Having been a vociferous critic of this pub over recent years, I can assure you that there has been a considerable improvement of late, primarily because of a major change in personnel. No, it's not the cheapest, (but where is around here?) but the fact you can get served within the hour by staff who are actually paying attention to the punters.................
Good atmosphere as well, now. Unable to comment on food.

Are there no decent pubs left in st Margaret's??? Went here for dinner last month, made the mistake of going to the restaurant area. Seriously either you run a pub or a restaurant not both. Food was pricey, wine list has really gone downhill since the refurb. Bar staff as ever make you feel like they're doing you a favour by serving you. I won't be back anytime soon. Go to the old anchor or head into twickenham, give the st margarets a miss

St Mags now open after a good quality refurbishment but with attendant massive price hike. Minimum bottle of wine price now about 20 for really mediocre stuff. Peroni lager discontinued even though it was by far and away the most popular lager in the old pub.

Very many locals have deserted this place. They, (I guess like me) will be waiting for the bad business numbers to force a change of positioning on this misbegotten venture.
