The railway is a friendly family run pub, recently been taken over by a couple who own two other pubs in Kingston and Teddington which they have turned around into a success. Friendly atmosphere, great beer, you can even get a decent pint of cider as they have Stowford Press on tap! They have an internet juke box, smoking area and do great value for money roast dinners on a Sunday. I have been told they are to be introducing live music also at the weekends. It’s a ‘proper pub’ in a great location, 1 minute walk from Mortlake train station. Ticks all the boxes for me! LyndzT - 22 Jan 2010 21:15
Pleasant little H&W pub now under new management and very near Mortlake station. The beer was good and although I didn't try the food there were several people in there eating and they seemed to be enjoying it. rainlight - 20 Dec 2009 19:56
Sadly the menu has changed, and the food's not as good as it was. Had a rather weird platter where mediterranean and eastern influences were mixed together, not very successfully. flummery - 9 Jun 2008 16:19
I don't get on with most Badger ales for some reason, often taste like someone's done something unspeakable in the glass. Nice pub though and the Export's a decent session lager if that's your thing. Best option in the Mortlake station area, certainly. hexenductionhour - 3 May 2008 11:45
