Today is the last day of the summer solstice beer festival - with the best named beer of "Ginger Tosser" which made me chortle. As per usual a convivial atmostphere with folks pouring onto the street and a beer tent in the back yard. A very underestimated pub with nice clientele and good beverage stock. Just lacks seating

Great range of ales in this traditional pub.

Never fails to please. A pint of 'Wherry' and one of Adnams..Both perfection. Friendly and characterful customers; one gentleman standing at the bar had a cucumber in his pocket;- at least I think that's what it was.

A very lively pub with a mixed clientele but closing dead on 11 on a summer friday is a bemusing decision - maybe it's because the fish and chip shop opposite is also an early to bed affair.

The Tally Ho beer from Adnams is expensive and a bit treacly but has to be sampled. On my visit, a gargantuan Irish Wolfhound was propping up the bar. Characterful.

a cracking pub. very friendly, great music, nice setting, good beer... worth travelling for. only shame was that it closed so early!
