A Good start in the evening for cheap drinks.Get smashed in there pretty cheap aswell. mcdrinky_drink - 20 Nov 2008 20:57
Visted this pub for the first time today. I definitely would not have done so when it was a Lloyds No 1. A good size pub with plenty of room. 4 guest ales on, all quite reasonable. Despite it been busy through the lunch hours, both the drinks and food service was good. The staff were friendly and efficient. The gent's urinals were equipped with american style push flushes which a lot of the local failed to use, hence something of a smell. There only appeared to be one hand dryer. Otherwise one of JDW's better pubs and I will no doubt visit in the future. wyndham - 18 Sep 2008 20:11
What a nightmare, i have visited this pub twice for breakfast and was luke warm at best with dirty cutlery and lipstick on the napkin where the staff member must of licked their lips to join the napkin around the cutlery, always have to wait along time to get served and even then its who ever shouts the loudest, tried it early doors about 6pm on a monday, tables covered with dirty glasses and dirty plates with customers of all walks of life, i had to get a cloth to wipe a table to sit at. However the real ale was nice and cheap in price, so you pay for what you get, i think i'll stick with the other pubs down the high street and pay for the service with a smile even if it is more expensive. greatrealale - 12 Sep 2008 20:27
Not bad Wetherspoons, usually a good range of beers to choose from and good value. From what I've witnessed though I wouldn't eat here, a while back an entire family had to send back their meals because they were all cold/undercooked. Mike142 - 30 Jun 2008 14:44
