Went in here today for the first time in a couple of years.
There is absolutely no atmosphere in this pub unlike Wetherspoons The Wrong Un' at the other end of the Broadway.
I cannot understand why The Wrong Un' is closing down soon and this place is staying open.
The beer selection was great and better than The Wrong Un' where I went afterwards but I still prefered The Wrong Un'.

More modern version of the Wetherspoon's chain than their other branch in Bexleyheath. There is much more light here and you can take a window seat watching the buses come and go, if that's your thing! This branch also had a better selection of ales - Greene King Abbot, Ruddles Best, Sharp's Doom Bar, Nelson Dogwatch Stout & Spanker, Hopdaemon Session, Sambrook's Wandle, Reunion Opening Gambit, Twickenham Redhead & Portobello Star. However, there is no real cider. There's a strange queuing system here, with tensor barriers set up to form separate queues for drinkers and those ordering food (and presumably teas and coffees). I slightly preferred this branch to the Wrong 'Un, in spite of the lack of a cider.

For me, Whetherspoon pubs are all about choice and value. The pub is a large open plan characterless area with lots of tables and chairs and can get quite busy. Although typically there's a lack of music, there is a first class selection of the real ale that leaves most other non Whetherspoon pubs in the shade. I doubt there is another non Whetherspoon pub around where it's possible to buy 4 pints of ale and get change from a tenner. I've eaten here many times and found the food satisfactory and reasonably good value served by helpful and friendly staff. So if you're after a quirky old boozer with lots of character, look elsewhere.

Very large 'Spoons by the bus terminus in the Broadway

10 pumps dispensing 7 ales and 2 ciders on my visit. 3 new beers on offer so I opted for a pint of Googly from Weltons at 4.2%.

As to be expected with 'Spoons all drinks at very reasonable prices.

Busy with a mixed crowd of shoppers and drinkers. Many families also eating but all the children were under control.

Fine on a Saturday afternoon but not my thing for a Friday or Saturday night as it does get a bit lively!
