The Rose is on the Broadway, Bexleyheath's main street. As others have commented, the bar is immediately in front of you, as you enter. There is a choice of two doors, both next to each other. So, I was expected to find two rooms. But, they have been joined together. Nevertheless, the interior still feels very traditions. It was still fairly quiet on our Saturday morning visit. So, there was no problem getting served or finding a seat. 4 ales were Courage Best, Sharp's Doom Bar, St Austell Proper Job & Dorking Pilcrow Pale.

This pub, a mainstay of the Broadway for coutless decades, still has the same look from the outside as it has for many years.
A good, traditional pub, it is never too loud inside and the bar staff are welcoming. The selection of beers is good, in my opinion, and I've not experienced a bad pint as previous and older reviews have stated.
My main problem with this pub is only that it is really pushed for space, I've been there a number of times only to walk straight out again as either the doorway was blocked (the door is straight onto the bar) or there was crowded standing room only with no seats, which are also few in number.
If the issue of space was addressed somehow, this would be a great pub that I would visit more often but as I've had to walk out, I rarely try to visit again.

Busy locals pub on the Broadway.

5 pumps offering 4 beers, Spitfire, Doom Bar, St Austell's Trelawny and Harvey's Best.

I opted for the Trelawny and to be honest I shouldn't have bothered. It had a slight vinegar taste which indicates it's on the way out.

Pleasant enough pub, attentive barmaids, tv on mute and juke box at a reasonable level.

Probably my one and only visit this lifetime.
