Visited the Iron Duke last Tuesday lunch time whilst out shopping on the recomendation of a friend who works in the area. A very tidy little pub, nice selection of ales, away from the crowds, lunch was very good. Tricky to find down a back street, but worth the hunt. I'd recommend the chicken liver starter if your giving it a go...

A pub on the decline unfortunately. This pub was on a good track at one point but then a change of area manager (according to one of the staff) has brought some unhappy changes. Shame as it was really soaring until this new A.M arrived and removed the fajitas, upped the prices and cocked around with the function room. Clip board menus? Seriously? How about white shirts and ties when once there was smart but casual staff? It's a shame. Love a the kind of pub this was a year ago, but now it looks more and more like one of those places that has "team members" instead of "staff" and "guests" rather than "customers".

Shame.

There aren't many Fullers pubs in the West End that I am aware of so the Iron Duke is a bit unusual in that respect. It's a single L-shaped room with plenty of traditional seating and a nice quietish atmosphere (despite being near South Molton St).

There were six pumps but half were duplicates so choice was Discovery, ESB and Pride. Given the Fullers range is wider than this it seems odd not to have more variety - perhaps the volume of business doesn't support it.

All in all I liked the Iron Duke - not the best pub in Mayfair but certainly a good place for a pint after a pounding in the shops.

A fairly pleasent small Fullers house, My ESB was in tip top condition. If i worked close by i would deffinately make use of it, but hard to suggest it is worth a detour.
