Recently went to a quiz night. Licencee not working that night but her "boy friend" who now lives in the pub was in the bar.
His language was foul, every other word "F"
He was doing he quiz but actually wanted the quiz master to STOP the game
because he wanted to go outside for a smoke!
Still not sure if he was just drunk or under the influence of something illegal!
This licencee wants to be careful as this "yob" could lose her licence for her.
Don't bother with Monday quiz night.

Nice drop of Youngs lunch time food was fine gets a bit rowdy late afternoons with the local chavs having a drink after work but the evening crowd are ok

Hmm an ok pub prob best described as a blokes pub centred largely around the dart board and a bit clicky !! Never seen any food served as thats in another area and its not a beer lovers mecca really either. Football usually on in the main bar.

The landlady looks/sounds a bit fierce and the least said about her complete goon other half the better !

Having said that with the Fox and Hounds closed down and The Old Fox deserted every night I'm afraid you're now blessed with choice in this area!

We dropped in here for the first time late one evening this week. The pub was quiet, with only a couple of other customers present, but certainly deserved to be busier. There are two distinct areas inside; a public bar with a tiled floor, dart board, TV and some basic tables and chairs, while the saloon bar/dining area is carpeted and generally more comfortable.

The decor, fixtures and fittings were all very clean and smart, giving the impression that the premises had undergone a sympathetic refurbishment in the recent past.

Food is served early in the evening and at weekends, although we didn't get to try it on this occasion. Being a Charles Wells house, the two cask ales on tap were Bombardier and Young's. These were kept in excellent condition.

A decent pub and we'll definitely be back.

Seems very much a regulars pub but welcoming nonetheless. Has a couple of real ales including Youngs Ordinary. Log fire, dart board and a small eating area. Sunday lunch serves it’s purpose but for what it was I thought it was a bit overpriced at £7.50.
