Nice little pub with large terraced beer garden at the rear. Plenty of space, would be great on a nice day. Friendly staff, nice ale. dyyony - 19 Jun 2011 23:02
Community pub that was very busy on our visit this afternoon. If only it looked like the picture above! Most of the young locals were watching the FA Cup semi final on the big screen and other smaller TVs. Agree with the comment about the propensity for lager drinking here. But three real ales were available including one I hadn't seen since visiting Scotland - Atlas Golden Amber, Black Sheep Best Bitter and Fuller's London Pride. Had it have been quieter, I think I could have quite liked this pub. blue_scrumpy - 11 Apr 2010 21:48
well what can you say about this little gem in the heart of bricket wood, its the least expensive pub in the area and although it only has a basic food menu monday to friday 12-2pm it still manages to tick all my boxes ,the real ales are kept well, its clean and tidy including the toilets and has a very friendly clientele and staff, the atmosphere during sporting events is electric but all are very well behaved, the landlord here runs a very tidy ship, and its always a pleasure to down one of the finest pints of london pride around ,keep up the good work ,excellent beloc - 16 Jan 2010 00:05
Paid a couple of visits and whilst it’s not unfriendly it can get filled with boorish alpha males hogging the bar. I imagine they sell more lager than ale but they had Pride and Black Sheep plus Black Dog Rhatus as a guest. Sky Sports TV and a beer garden. A decent community pub that I’m sure serves it’s purpose well. Millay - 6 Oct 2009 19:45
visited the pub for a second time with my wife, just as pleasant as before and still value for money, the landlord has refused to increase prices along with the brewery increases in early february,i purchased a pint of london pride and half a lager for my wife for £3.60,i wouldnt get much change from a fiver at the other pubs in the village, this was during the pubs happy hours but even in normal hours it was only £4.00,the staff are polite and the pub is spotless and even when its busy the staff let you know when your waiting at the bar that you have gained there attention,a real pleasure to drink there well done the black boy beloc - 13 Feb 2009 06:22
