| What a great pub! Was going to another in Beeston but it was filled with with chavs, so went in here on the off chance it might be decent. It was, the beer was great, the staff and customers were friendly, and the atmosphere (especially in the saloon bar) could be used to illustrate a traditional pub. | i went to The Hop Pole last night ,it's local to me and i have often walked past it .But i am glad that i did go to this pub is one a dying breed .The first thing i noticed was a very welcoming atmosphere,a range of age groups,a good choice of ales and reasonably priced,not one burberry cap in sight.... ohhh did i mention that classic rock is played. I would recomend this pub as it has been kept a tradional pub (and not a trendy wine bar)for a person who has the basic needs of a comfortable pub,good music,different ales to try .There is also a pool table an dart board anonymous - 1 Nov 2006 12:18 |
