| I have to say I completely disagree with stellabanbury's comment that the Unicorn is not the place for women alone - it's run by two lovely women who always make everyone feel very much at home! | I got to say - I love this pub. My dad and I have been coming here for a while as he loves real ale - we have to go 40 miles from home to get to the Unicorn, but the ale is kept fantastically (apparently!). I go more for the food, which is superb. We are both always made to feel very welcome and on the odd occasion that we have drunk too much and can't drive home the landlady has always managed to find a spare room or 2 for us.
