| It's okay but not somewhere I'd rant & rave about as an archetypal village local. The York brewery Guzzler had a sharp taste to it (though I suspect that might be how it's supposed to be like), the Hooky Bitter was a nice pint though. | Lovely pub. One of the few places I regularly drink ale (like a mini beer festival every week - always a different cask on tap). Good food is slow to arrive but who cares when you can sit by the fire and drink good beer with a packet of peanuts and a paper. harryg100 - 24 Sep 2009 22:05 |
